New EVEREST® 1.50 Simplifies Daily Life for Net Admins
Latest release from Lavalys? expands the industry's leading toolkit for Windows? environments
MONTR?AL, CANADA (October 14, 2004) -- Lavalys today announced the general availability of EVEREST Professional and Home Edition Version 1.50. Reflecting nearly a year of direct feedback from customers since the launch of EVEREST 1.00, the new EVEREST release packs a broad array of new features and fixes that elevate EVEREST as the industry's leading management toolkit for IT infrastructures and their Windows? environments.
Among the new features of EVEREST 1.50 are a greatly improved remote monitoring module, support for numerous new hardware and software platforms, audit and change tracking of Windows? updates, chassis intrusion detection, and much more. To coincide with today's announcement of the customer-driven 1.50 release, Lavalys is also launching a new Discussion Forum at www.lavalys.com for the worldwide audience of EVEREST enthusiasts to strengthen their ability to drive enhancements to their favorite product.

- Services and system drivers list under Windows Server 2003
- Several issues under Japanese Windows
- Improved stability under VMware virtual machines
- Intermittent crashes due to DirectX-related issues
- SQL anomalies due to long folder names
- Report Converter converting issues on several pages
- SMART disk health information on VIA SATA controllers

EVEREST Home Edition is free for personal and for non-commercial use only. All Home Edition users must register with Lavalys. Along the release of this new EVEREST version update, to strengthen and broaden its technical support channels for EVEREST, Lavalys is introducing a new discussion forum . The board is intended to solve issues of the rapidly growing EVEREST business and enthusiasts users community.

Anatomical Travelogue (NYC, USA), Beltex and L'Oréal Hungary have chosen EVEREST Professional to build a remotely driven accurate asset management and change tracking system. Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (Norway) has chosen EVEREST Professional to become the central cog of its brand new automatic asset control and driver installation system, utilizing the award-winning hardware discovery engine provided by EVEREST Technology.
