CityExplorer includes the complete HK address database provided by HK Survey and Mapping Office. Users can search for the exact location of any building, street, area or institution in Hong Kong by their place name or address; alternatively, the customizable land marks, search history, and direct coordination access can also help pinpoint a location in no time.

In addition to the destinations, locations and routes linking them together, CityExplorer can show the positions of up to tens of thousands of service facility as well including ATM, taxi stop, pillar box and more.

4. The most efficient pedestrian navigation

CityExplorer offer unique pedestrian navigation feature, help the user know the walking direction and distance and time left to the destination. Unlike other similar map applications, CityExplorer calculates the best shortcut for you, taking pedestrian road, parks, malls, tunnels etc into consideration.

6. Tracking feature for seniors, children or cars

CityExplorer has a tracking feature. With this great feature, you can track and find your kids, family members, lost phones etc. This function works with the iMap Phone program. Users can sent location request SMS to iMap Phone's tracking application directly through CityExplorer which will display the location intuitively on the map once a positioning SMS arrived. CityExplorer also allows direct access to the positioning SMS received from iMap Phone.

CityExplorer can send correspondent SMS to specified mobile directly. The request will be answered automatically with SMS containing GPS coordinates. The location in the SMS will be marked on the map directly.

Select Send Position from the menu and proceed with Positioning SMS function; the other side will automatically send back its GPS position.

7. An intuitive communication means

Users can send and mark their current position or a specified location on the other side’s mobile map, via Position SMS or Position Email feature.

8. Drivers' best partner

CityExplorer is specially designed with a alert feature. When the driver approaches a customized or predefined speed camera, customizable ringtones will be played. And the over-speed alert can also inform the driver of the current driving speed, thus make sure that they do not exceed speed limit. To make life easier for drivers, CityExplorer knows the locations of thousands of gas stations and parking lots in HK. (right) Enabling Alert function in Positioning Feature from the Menu will enable the alert for a specified location.

If you have predefined a speed camera location, then the system will alert you before entering that area, which makes driving much safer.

You can find the sunrise/sunset timetable of the next 30 days for any location with CityExplorer’s Information function. After connected to Panoramio website via wireless connection, you can browser the building photos in your specified area within CityExplorer.
